2021 Important Membership Information
With sanctioned shoots starting in full swing. This is a stern reminder to check your membership card expiry date. We currently are not sending out reminders and you need to be aware of your own membership details.
We have a 1-2 day turn around on memberships and processing them daily.
You membership is calculated on the anniversary of your initial joining date. Which means if you leave it for one to six months you only get the remainder of the year.
In Accordance with the competition policy;
10.3 Membership Validation
It is the Affiliated Club’s responsibility to check the membership status of all competitors at any Sanctioned Event, special or Club Event.
In order to facilitate the process for Sanctioned Events and Special Events, 3DAAA will provide to the Host Club, no earlier than 5 days before the start of the Event, a list of all the current financial members of 3DAAA as at the last day of the Event. This list is provided in an electronic form.If a competitor claims to be financial and can produce a Membership Card or receipt from the on-line membership system in support of their claim, but their name does not appear on the list, they are to be regarded as being financial and the matter referred to the Membership Secretary in the Shoot Report following the Event.
If a competitor claims to be a Member and their name does not appear on the list and they cannot be produce a Membership Card in support of their claim, the competitor has two options:
1. They can complete a Membership Application and pay the membership fee and compete in their preferred division. If, at a later date, 3DAAA finds an error in their membership status, the membership fee will be refunded in full.
2. The competitor can pay the shoot fee alone and compete in the NCC class. If at a later date, 3DAAA finds an error in their membership status no alteration to the Event placings or Annual Awards points will be made.
If a competitor is later found to be un-financial at the time of the Event, the Score Recorder will make an adjustment in the Shooter of the Year points and the official results listing. It will be the Host Club’s responsibility to manage the re-allocation of trophies.
It is important to keep your membership current as you will not be covered by insurance the day after your membership expires. The 3 month grace period only applies to your continuous membership awards and not insurance.

COVID-19 Update May 2020
Dear 3DAAA Affiliated Clubs & Members Date: 12th May 2020
Addressing Management of the
Current COVID 19 Pandemic
Following on from our last communication on the 16th April of 2020, where we advised in light of the latest changing events related to the COVID-19 Pandemic all Sanctioned and Special events on the 2020 calendar are to be postponed / suspended indefinitely for 2020.
We have been reviewing the current situation with State & Territory guidelines and our Insurer to facilitate a safe return to club activities.
In preparation for the continued reviewing of restrictions in each State & Territory by the relevant State Bodies and in line with our communication that we would be working with clubs in preparing our contingency plans for the remainder of the year, the following outlines our steps to transition back to our sporting activities.
We have been working on an Infectious Disease Policy Guideline as well as a Risk Management Matrix to assist clubs in preparation of not only Sanctioned Events but all Club Activities.
These Guidelines are to assist Clubs manage their events safely and within the current regulations. It is in no way a totally comprehensive list of all actions to take place at a club in the running of events. Additional requirements may / will be required depending on the activity, venue etc. & clubs are encouraged to add to the Risk Management Matrix additional checks they may undertake.
For this to work so that we can all return to our sport safely, it is critical that all clubs undertaking activities refer to and ensure that they are compliant with the current State, Territory, Federal and Local Government / Council requirements prior to, and at the time of their proposed event / activities. For the Full Letter to Club Officials click HERE

COVID 19 Update 16 Apr 20
Dear 3DAAA Affiliated Clubs & Members Date: 16th April 2020
Addressing Management of the
Current COVID 19 PandemicFollowing on from our last communication on the 2nd April of 2020, where we advised in light of the latest changing events related to the COVID-19 Pandemic all Sanctioned and Special events on the 2020 calendar are to be postponed / suspended until the 30th of April 2020.
In reviewing the current situation with State & Territory guidelines our advice to our members and clubs has not changed other than we now advise that Sanctioned and Special events on the 2020 calendar are to be postponed / suspended indefinitely for 2020.
In the coming weeks we will be working with clubs directly to have a contingency plan should the opportunity present itself for the remainder of the season.
At the same time we will be working with updates from the States & Territories to ensure that we can return to our sport as soon as it is possible, minimising the risk to our members and the wider community.
It is important that all our members across the States & Territories comply with the current requirements (note these are now potentially not going to change over the next 4 weeks as per latest updates and it is your responsibility to keep abreast of these changing requirements), some of which now have fines and penalties associated with them and are enforceable by law for the non-compliance. For more information click here (Health Advice)
3DAAA advise ALL our Affiliated Clubs that in complying with the Government’s Guidelines we once again strongly recommend clubs no longer use their grounds for any club activities. This includes individual practice on club grounds.
3DAAA is supporting the now tighter restrictions advise travel to the archery range is not considered essential; especially if it is not in your own local neighbourhood.
Not complying with this advice from 3DAAA, and the advice from the Government, State, Federal as well as Local governing bodies may leave the executives of the clubs not meeting compliance requirements becoming personally liable should a claim be made from a member or the public.
3DAAA Insurance for our Affiliated Clubs cannot be guaranteed where the club fails to comply with the conditions outlined in our communications to clubs.
We thank you for your ongoing support during this challenging time.
